In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror in 2008, Aditya Pancholi revealed that Kangana Ranaut ‘betrayed’ him and how she owes him a big amount of money. When Ranaut wanted financial help, she called Aditya and revealed she wanted Rs 1 crore to buy a house. Pancholi called his banker friend, signed up as her guarantor and helped Kangana get a Rs 50 lakh loan. The actor gave the remaining 55 lakh in cash from his side. The Yess Boss star revealed that Ranaut returned him Rs 25 lakh but is yet to pay him Rs 30 lakh. In the same interview, Aditya Pancholi called his relationship with the Tanu Weds Manu actress as ‘husband and wife’. The actor stated that he was building a house for both of them at Yari Road. Till then, they lived together for three years at a friend’s place. Aditya said that the Gangster actress had no money when they met and he saw her on the road for the first time. “She was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. It was June 27, 2004. She was drenched and sitting on a bike with a guy from the Asha Chandra Acting Institude. The Aankhen actor revealed that Kangana Ranaut introduced him to her and he remembered a mutual friend who requested him to help the actress. Aditya stated that Kangana used to call him persistently until he agreed to meet. “Initially she was a sweet small town girl. I fell in love with her,” Pancholi said. As reported by the Times of India, in an interview with another entertainment news portal, Aditya confessed he hit Kangana after reading her message with another actor during the shooting of Shakalaka Boom Boom.
Aditya Pancholi said when she was asleep, he read her sent messages to another actor, which were not innocent. “I remembered that the words she used for this actor were also used by her when she had called me from South Africa. That was the first time I hit her. We fought and made up.”

While she never took Aditya’s name, the actress called it a difficult and harsh time.
