Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal who played the role of Mrs Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah shocked all when she filed a sexual harassment case against producer Asit Kumarr Modi. She made some serious allegations against him and the directors of the show leading to a huge controversy. She also accused the makers of non-payment of dues. Yesterday, reports emerged that Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal has won the case against Asit Kumarr Modi. Court has ordered him to clear all the dues and pay Rs 5 lakh in compensation. Post the victory, Jennifer took to her social media account to pen a lengthy note and thank everyone who supported her in her tough time.

In a long note, Jennifer Mistry thanked her lawyers and her husband for helping her achieve this victory. She stated that she went through a lot of mental trauma over the past one year for which Rs 5 lakh is nothing. She mentioned about loss of unemployment, prestige, expenses of the case etc. She also wrote that she is not completely satisfied as no verdict was given against Sohil Ramani and Jatin Bajaj. She further thanked the Maharashtra Government who looked into the case.
Jennifer Mistry further wrote that she will not sit quiet. She is seeking apology from Asit Kumarr Modi and others and mentioned that she went through trauma while the culprits are roaming freely. She added, ” I am not accepting the verdict and decide to go further by just not taking my money. Also a woman’s self respect cannot be quantified in the manner the verdict & compensation was declared.” She hopes that her victory will encourage more women to come out and speak up against any form of harassment. But she also wondered that if fighting for justice is so tough for someone like her, how it would be for a common man.

Asit Kumarr Modi and the team hasn’t made any comment on the verdict as yet. Earlier, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had categorically denied all the allegations charged against the makers.
