Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun film rights sold at record prices
Anil Thadani of AAA Films has acquired the distribution rights for four big South Indian films namely Pushpa 2, Game Changer, Kalki and Devara in 2024. As per a report in Pinkvilla, Anil Thadani has acquired the North India theatrical rights for Rs 200 crores. This is a staggering sum to say the least. Pushpa 2 is the most hyped Indian movie of 2024 and these figures are an indication of the same. Before the pandemic, the maximum sum paid for distribution of South Indian movies was Rs 140 to 160 crore. It seems the whole trade circle is talking about how much Anil Thadani has paid for the North India rights of Pushpa 2. Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun movie to be a monster at the box office
Pushpa 2 is supposed to take a record opening all over. The budget of Pushpa 2 is around Rs 500 crores. It seems they have spent Rs 60 crores just for one sequence in the film. As per reports, T-Series has bought the global music rights and Hindi satellite rights for Rs 60 crores. In Telugu, it will be televised on Star Maa channel. The buzz is that Pushpa 2’s global OTT rights has been bought by Netflix for Rs 100 crores. It is lower than Salaar and RRR.
In Pushpa 2, we will see that the fight between Allu Arjun aka Pushpa and Fahadh Faasil’s character will continue. Rashmika Mandanna has a bigger part to play as Srivalli.
