Al about Shakti Kapoor’s journey to success

He is none other than Crime Master Gogo, the legendary Shakti Kapoor. Born in Delhi, Shakti Kapoor did not have his roots set in Bollywood. He did not belong to a filmy family but that did not stop him from dreaming big. His father ran a clothes and tailoring shop in Delhi’s Connaught area. Reports in entertainment news sites suggest that his father wanted to take up his business and be in trailering. However, that’s not what Shakti Kapoor wanted to do. He did go to Film and Television Institute of India which proved to be his stepping stone into the film industry. In 1975, he made his debut with the film Ranjit Khanal. But it was not until Sanjay Dutt’s Rocky that he got recognised as an actor. It was Sunil Dutt who cast him for Rocky and even got his name changed. Shakti Kapoor was earlier Sunil Kapoor. From there on, he got film offers to be the villain and Shakti Kapoor aced in every role. Once Shakti Kapoor once revealed how his parents reacted to his villainous roles. He added that his father was very upset with him after watching Insaniyat Ke Dushman. His mother left the theatre as there was a rape scene. But with Satte Pe Satta, he realised that he could do comedy too and enjoyed it. Shakti Kapoor has played many roles in which he has left fans laughing with comic timing.

Shakti Kapoor has appeared in more than 700 movies and he is active even now. He was seen in Animal along with Ranbir Kapoor. His daughter Shraddha Kapoor is also now a well-established actress.
