Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht have been a part of the television industry for a long time. They have also done web shows recently. They make for an adorable pair but recently, they left everyone shocked when they announced their separation. They met on the sets of Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Radha Ek Shyam and got married on March 2, 2008, and welcomed their first child in 2011. However, they announced separation in 2022. They never revealed the reasons but now, Indraneil has opened up about their separation and also spoke about the negative comments made on this matter. Indraneil Sengupta reacts to rumours of him abandoning his child
He spoke to Bollywood Shaadis and reacted to rumours of him abandoning his daughter, Meira. He shared he has been reading a lot of articles where intentionally or unintentionally, it comes across that he has abandoned his daughter, Meira. Indraneil clarified that Meira is his only child and he adores her. He said he does not usually react to such news but as a father he is not happy with the way things are being portrayed. He has been working hard to provide the best to his child and the only reason why his daughter is with Barkha more is because she is at an age where she will soon move into womanhood and it’s more practical that her mother guides her.
He said that they make sure Meira gets a loving environment and she is most resilient when it comes to handling their divorce. Meira spends equal amount of time with him and Barkha both and she has been handling their separation maturely.

He further spoke about his divorce with Barkha. He shared that they were extremely different personalities right from the beginning and with time the gap between them increased. He added that their perspectives on love, family, our child and work are very different.
