Well, Sharmin revealed that Salman had jokingly asked her, Will you marry me? and she responded with a laugh saying No. Sharmin admitted to having a crush on Salman, especially while watching O O jane jana’ from Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. The actress said that during her childhood days she could not understand the concept of marriage and her answer was always No to everything. She even spoke about working with her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali and said that she realized he was her uncle while watching Devdas when she was 18 years old. Sharmin expressed her admiration for him and also revealed that she assisted him on Bajirao Mastani sets. She said that her uncle Bhansali is a tireless worker and a mentor who showed her a different side of herself during the shoot of Heeramandi.
Talking about Heeramandi, the film stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal in main roles. Heeramandi is a period drama that showcases the lives of courtesans in Lahore.
