In an interview with Allure, Alia Bhatt opened up about how the experience of pregnancy was for her. The Gangubai Kathiawadi star revealed that every day was a discovery for her but there were three moments that were quite precious. The first precious moment was when she felt her daughter’s kick for the first time. She was shooting for Heart of Stone in Portugal and she started feeling something. Alia described the moment as surreal and said it happened the next day, also when she was in bed. However, she wasn’t sure what the flutter exactly was. “Literally, I was waiting for it to happen again but the thing is that when you want the baby to kick, the baby doesn’t kick. When you don’t expect it, the baby will kick and the moment is gone. Alia Bhatt revealed that she was quite excited to tell Ranbir Kapoor the same next day. She stated that RK was asleep, and in his sleep, he asked Bhatt what happened. That’s when she told him that the baby kicked and Ranbir replied, ‘Okay, that’s great’. Alia’s other forgettable moment was when Raha said’mama’ for the first time. Alia revealed that when her daughter said the word’mama’, it was just her playing with Raha. The Darlings actress said that she and Ranbir Kapoor had a rivalry with each other. Alia Bhatt shared the backstory that at home, they have a fight about whether they are going to say mama or papa first. Alia was like, ‘mama, mama, mama’ and RK was telling her to say ‘papa, papa, papa’. But as it was only Alia present in the room when Raha said’mama’, he wasn’t believing it. That’s when she immediately pulled out her phone and asked her daughter to say it again. That’s when their daughter said’mama’ in a low voice. Alia said that she has that moment captured on her phone so she has proof now.
