South stars Nayanthara and Dhanush are currently the talk of the town. The stars are ruling the headlines for all the wrong reasons. It all started with Nayanthara penning an open letter against Dhanush. In a long note, she addressed the Rs 10 crore lawsuit filed by Dhanush against her documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale streaming on Netflix. In it being reported that Dhanush has objected to a 3-second clip shown in the documentary that is reportedly a BTS scene from their film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Dhanush vs Nayanthara: War gets intense
As per reports in entertainment news sites, Dhanush‘ legal team has given ultimatum to Nayanthara and Netflix to pull down the allegedly infringing content in 24 hours. In a statement issued, Captain Miller actor’s lawyer has reportedly said, “My client is the producer of the film and they know where they have spent each penny for the production of the film. Your client has stated that my client has not commissioned any person to shoot the behind-the-scenes footage and the said statement is baseless. Your client is put to strict proof of the same.” The lawyer emphasised that the footage belongs to Dhanush as he is the producer of the film and not the person who shot it. Further, the lawyer advised the opposing parties to remove the allegedly infringing content in 24 hours, otherwise, Dhanush will be forced to take appropriate legal action. In the note penned by Nayanthara, the Jawan actress shared that her legal team made continuous efforts to seek permission and a No Objection Certificate to use the footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. She added that Dhanush is restraining from granting the permission and had filed a lawsuit because of a personal grudge that he has been harbouring against her and partner Vignesh Shivan. She also wrote, “This is an all time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner.” It created quite a stir among fans.
