Vidhu Vinod Chopra expressed his gratitude, saying, “On May 18th, I have the privilege of thanking the team that made 12th Fail feel so real. People often asked about the background actors in Mukherjee Nagar—they looked authentic because they were not actors but actual students and staff from Drishti!” He also extended his heartfelt thanks to Vikas Divyakirti and his team, Abhishek and Gaurav. He said that they never broke character, never looked into the camera, and were always punctual. He even went on to say that their professionalism matched that of the director’s own crew.
